While I have not worked solely as a planner throughout my career, I have spent many years working alongside planning teams, councillors, and technical consultees. This has given me a clear view of how decisions are shaped, where applications often fall down, and how risk is assessed behind the scenes.

My experience means I understand the planning system from the inside. Not just the written policies, but the pressures, constraints, and judgement calls that influence outcomes day to day.

I set up Cheshire Planning Consultancy to offer early, honest advice to homeowners, landowners, and small developers. Advice that helps people understand what is realistic before committing time, money, or energy to a site or proposal.

I am particularly interested in early stage planning advice, site appraisals, and second opinions. Many clients come to me when they are unsure whether to proceed, have received conflicting advice, or simply want a clear, independent view before moving forward.

Alongside my professional experience, I hold an MSc in Urban Planning and am Carbon Literacy qualified, allowing me to consider sustainability and environmental impacts as part of the wider planning picture.
